PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid opening/closing mechanism which enables the lid to be opened to its full width, keeps the entire height of the lid body low when the lid is opened, and makes the rotation of the early stage of opening smooth. SOLUTION: The rotation center of a lid body 3 at its early stage of opening is made to be a first pivot 4, which is formed at the rear-upper part of the body of a rice cooker 1. Then, the rotation center of the lid body 3 is changed to a second pivot 7, which is located lower than the first pivot 4. Thus, the lid body 3 is turned and moved downward along the rear side of the body of the rice cooker 1, to make it possible to fully open the lid.
