PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monoclonal antibody specifically recognizing MD-1 molecule applicable to determination and detection of an antigen and medicines and diagnostics. SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody in the present invention is obtained by carrying out immune treatment of an adequate host with MD-1 molecule which is expressed on cell surface so that the MD-1 molecule has its original three-dimensional structure.
