PURPOSE: A method of auctioning off using a VARS(Voice Automatic Response System) is provided to sort out articles for sale at auction into large classification and middle classification, and to resort out the articles by area to sort out the articles into small classification, then to select articles from the small classification to record the articles for Dutch auction, or to automatically delete the articles if the articles are knocked down to persons, so as to supply new information all the time. CONSTITUTION: A caller selects a large classification(S100). The caller selects an articles from a middle classification(S115). The caller selects an auction site to restrict all classifications on a demanded site(S120). The caller selects an article from a small classification(S125). When auctioning off, the caller inputs an auction number and a contact number by entering an end digit of a telephone or a cellular phone(S130). The caller records description of articles for sale at auction or listens to recorded messages of the articles while performing Dutch auction(S135). If the recording is unavailable, the articles are displayed on classified gathering rooms on the Internet(S140). If the caller participates in an auction, the caller inputs a self auction number and a unit cost(S150), and confirms whether to make a successful bid(S155). If the successful bid is made, the caller confirms a mutual contact network(S165). A server confirms a procedure completion, and deletes information on the auction(S170).
