PURPOSE: Provided is a method for mass-producing seedlings of Aralia cordata Thunb. by somatic embryogenesis in an incubator, thereby improving propagation efficiency and seed germination, and consequently increasing agricultural income. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: culturing hypocotyls, roots, leaves and inflorescence of a seedling germinated from the copula eminence; inducing the callus generating embryos from the culture; inducing somatic embryos therefrom; germinating them and growing to young plants or inducing secondary somatic embryos by culturing primary somatic embryos or fragments of the young plants induced therefrom; germinating them; and growing young plants to mass-produce seedlings of Aralia cordata Thunb.
