PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for an automatic vending machine capable of automatically setting opening and closing of a partition plate in association with the setting of a heating operation mode or a cooling operation mode. SOLUTION: The partition plate 6 is automatically opened and closed in association with the setting of an operation mode by an H/C change-over switch 42. The partition plate 6 is closed when performing heating operation or cooling operation, and the partition plate 6 is opened when performing only the cooling operation. By this, labor of opening and closing setting operation of the partition plate 6 is saved and no mistakes are made in the setting. When the partition plate 6 does not finish opening and closing action within a predetermined time, it is quickly determined that there is a failure and operation without retainment of heating insulation of respective chambers 6 and 7 can be prevented.
