PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite digital broadcast reception system that allows each community reception facility to view a satellite digital broadcast program at a low cost. SOLUTION: A main head end 2 receives a satellite digital broadcast signal, community reception facilities A-F convert the satellite digital broadcast signal into a 1st conversion signal with a bandwidth, a frequency band and a modulation system that are suitable for transmission, and transmits the 1st conversion signal to the community reception facilities A-F. Sub head ends 43A-43F of the community reception facilities A-F convert the 1st conversion signal sent from the main head end 2 into a 2nd conversion signal not in use by the community reception facilities A-F and transmit the 2nd conversion signal to each terminal of the community reception facilities A-F.
