SEA-ISLAND TYPE CONJUGATE FIBER OF MULTI-ROW ISLAND

PURPOSE: A sea-island type conjugate fiber having an excellent section forming property and capable of forming an extrafine island-component fiber after elution of a sea component is provided which improves touch, appearance and suede effects of a raised textile fabric or a knitting as a final product. CONSTITUTION: About 38 to 500 island component fibers are arranged on a concentric circle of 5 to 10 rows in a single filament and the island component fibers are then divided into 4 to 8 axisymmetrical repeating units(I). The number of the island component fiber(Hn) and the total island component fiber of each concentric circle in the axisymmetrical repeating units is controlled in the specified range(II).
