DOUBLE DRUM-TYE CAPSTAN

The capstan is used in metalworking for winding and unwinding of longitudinal-type materials, such as wire and others on a drum. It prevents any mechanic stress in the materials subject to winding and unwinding, without their torsion. The capstan includes a support (12) with a driving means (25) on a spreading arm (10) which is mounted with a facility to revolve on the support (12) for winding and unwinding of longitudinal materials (K) on a stationary drum (13). The spreading arm (10) on the side, oriented to the materials (K) has a gripping arm (14) which is fabricated to guide the longitudinal materials (K) in tangential direction to the periphery of the drum (13). At least one of the arms (31, 31') for revolving the drum (13) is connected to the support (12) in such a way in order to retract and release drum (13) in support (12). 9 claims, 5 figures
