WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESS AND METHOD USING INORGANIC COAGULANT AND BIOFILTER

PURPOSE: Provided are wastewater treatment process and method using inorganic coagulant and biofilter. The system can remove phosphorus, nitrogen, turbidity and residue organic matters in wastewater. The system is simplified by using biofilter without a slow mixing tank and a clarifier. The treated water is available for wastewater reclamation and reusing system such as industrial water, garden water and toilet water. Also, the system contributes to droughty season by supplying dried river with treated water. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises sulfur-denitrification biofilter(102) to remove nitrogen by downward fixed media and phosphorus by adding inorganic coagulants(101); and aerobic biofilter(103) to remove phosphorus by adding inorganic coagulants(101). Back-washing water is transferring to pre-treatment devices(a clarifier, an influent tank).
