The heat exchanger has transverse partitions linking its sides (13, 14) and forming channels through which a first fluid flows and longitudinal partitions linking its ends (11, 12), forming channels through which a second fluid flows. Collector boxes (25, 26) at each end act as guides for the second fluid and are connected to the channels formed by the longitudinal partitions. Collector boxes (30, 31) on each side are connected with a minority of the transverse channels, the remainder being sealed at their end to produce a flow of the first liquid through the channels which is in the same direction.
