PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an illegal copy of contents data. SOLUTION: A printer 36, which receives protected printing job data from a contents server 44, stores them on a hard disk 38 without canceling this protect. Just before printing, the printer 36 reads the printing job data out of this hard disk 38, requests a protect cancel key required for canceling the protect to the contents server 44 and cancels the protect of the printing job data. |
