PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that carries out airtight sealing by the parallel seam brazing of a ceramic package without requiring any expensive electron beam welding devices, and without using any seal frames causing high costs by increasing the height and weight of the package. SOLUTION: This parallel seam brazing method has a heat absorption roller that has a rotary shaft on the same vertical plane as the rotary shaft of roller electrodes 3 and 3 with a taper, rotates while the heat absorption roller comes into contact with the upper surface of a lid 2, uses the quality of a material with high thermal conductivity, and has large heat capacity in a method for carrying out brazing sealing by using the welding device having a pair of the roller electrodes 3 and 3 with the taper, by placing the lid 2 in a ceramic frame 1 in an inactive gas atmosphere, and by pressurizing and energizing the opposite side of the lid 2 by the roller electrodes 3 and 3 with a taper.
