Solns. of alkali metal hypochlorite are purified by tangential filtration on a membrane. The pore size of the membrane is below 2 m, pref. between 10 A (corresp. to cut-off limit of 0.5 KDaltons) and 0.2 m. Esp., the cut-off limit is 3 KD-200 KD. A mineral membrane is used, based on AlO#, ZrO, SiC and/or C, on a support of AlO#, SiC and/or C. Pref. the membrane may be organic, based on polyaryl ether sulphone (opt. sulphonated), polyvinylidene fluoride, PTFE or acrylonitrile copolymers. |
