摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional communication network system that cannot have realized setting of a path with respect to a channel for one to multi communication and multi to one communication and setting of a bypass on the occurrence of a fault by a node adopting only insertion, transmission and separation operating modes placed on a ring network. SOLUTION: Each of the nodes 1-8 is provided with a function that carries out a time division switching operating mode where five basic operating modes as insertion, transmission, separation, branch insertion and separation transmission modes are sequentially switched each time in time division in addition to the basic operating modes. In the case of a channel where the 1 to multi communication is conducted, the branch insertion and separation transmission basic operating modes are employed and a channel to distribute a signal from the node 1 to the nodes 3, 5, 7 is set. In the case of a channel where the multi to one communication is conducted, the time division switching operating mode to switch the insertion and the transmission and the time division switching operating mode to switch a ring for the separation are employed so as to realize the multi to one communication by temporally switching a set of the nodes conducting the one to one communication.
