PURPOSE: A high voltage output apparatus is provided to stably supply a high voltage required for a cathode ray tube, regardless of load variation. CONSTITUTION: A high voltage output apparatus comprises an oscillator(10), a high voltage driving circuit(20), a high voltage output circuit(30), a pulse width modulation output circuit(40), a pulse width control circuit(50), a high voltage preventing circuit(60'), a high voltage generating circuit(70), a feedback circuit(80), capacitors(C1,C2,C4) and a resistor. The high voltage preventing circuit(60) disables the operation of the pulse width control circuit(50) by receiving a voltage(Vf') and a voltage(Va) from the high voltage generating circuit(70) and generating a high voltage prohibition signal(Vp). The high voltage preventing circuit(60') includes resistors(R6,R7,R8,R9,R10,R11,R12,R13), capacitors(C5,C6), transistors(Q4,Q5), a diode(D6), and a silicon control rectifier(D5).
