PURPOSE: A reverse-image converting circuit of a video camera is provided to image a film image on a television screen and to convert the image of a negative film into a positive or negative image signal. CONSTITUTION: A reverse-image converting circuit of a video camera includes a reverse-image conversion switch(10) for converting an image signal output from a video output port into a positive or negative mode, and a negative/positive processor(20) for receiving the output signal of the switch to output a negative or positive image. The negative/positive processor includes a video switch(21) for processing a negative color difference signal, a luminance signal and a synchronous signal to output a composite video signal, a synchronous signal separator for separating the synchronous signal and applying the synchronous signal to the video switch, and a luminance conversion inverter(23) for inverting only the luminance signal. The processor further has a luminance amplifier(24) for amplifying the output signal of the inverter, and a DC level converter(25) for adjusting the gain of the DC level of the amplified signal.
