FAST HAND-OFF METHOD USING BEACON MESSAGE BASED ON WIRELESS LAN

PURPOSE: A fast hand-off method using a beacon message based on a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) is provided to minimize the loss of user data and perform a fast hand-off by previously obtaining the beacon message including information to a new network under IPv6 environment based on the wireless LAN and mobile IPv6 environment. CONSTITUTION: In case that a user terminal moves to a new network, a current access router and a hand-off object access router periodically transmit a beacon message including power strength measurement information and prefix information to the user terminal(S101,S102). The user terminal receives the beacon message, periodically compares a power strength of the current access router and a power strength of the hand-off object access router, and judges whether a hand-off is performed(S103). If it is judged as the hand-off, an address is generated for a routing with the hand-off object access router using prefix information and the hand-off is performed using the generated address.
