PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car audio system which is capable of reproducing sound images that are rich and profound in front of the passengers. SOLUTION: A sound image position correction circuit 52 is provided to convert left and right channel input digital audio signals, XL(Z) and XR(Z), into digital audio signals YL(Z) and YR(Z) indicated by the following formulas; YL(Z).GLL(Z)+YR(Z).GLR(Z)=XL(Z).FLL(Z)+XR(Z).FLR(Z), YR(Z).GLL(Z)+ YL(Z).GLR(Z)=XR(Z).FLL(Z)+XL(Z).FLR(Z), where FLL(Z) to GLR(Z) are prescribed head related transfer-functions. A depth perception correction circuit 53 which adds the signals of reflected sounds to the signals YL(Z) and YR(Z) and a D/A converter circuit 6 which D/A converts the outputs signals of the correction circuit 53 are provided. Analog audio signals outputted from the D/A converter circuit 6 are supplied to a left and a right channel speaker. |
