PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and inexpensively regulate the output of an electric heater. SOLUTION: A direct connection of an alternating-current power supply to a heater resistor is made to obtain a 'high' output, and by switching of a switch, a connection of the alternating-current power supply to the heating resistor via a rectifier is made to obtain a 'low' output.
