PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the buckling of a shutter spring consisting of a long and narrow cylindrical coil spring which energizes a shutter member toward a closed position in a magnetic disk cartridge. SOLUTION: The long and narrow cylindrical coil spring 6 is shrinked and mounted along the internal surface of a connection plate part 53 by locking one end of the coil spring 6 with a spring seating piece 55 formed at a edge side in the opening direction of a shutter window part 54. A tongue-shaped piece 59 for retaining spring which is bent in the opening direction of the shutter member 5 from the spring seating piece 55 and is extended in almost parallel to the connection plate part 53, is provided so that a long and narrow space for housing the coil spring 6 is formed between the piece 59 and the connection plate part 53.
