PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high recording density by improving the yield of a reproducing head while securing recording throughput performance to be guaranteed as a magnetic disk device. SOLUTION: This magnetic disk device is provided with plural data recording surfaces, a magnetic head for recording/reproducing data on the data recording surface, a magnetic head driving part, and a control circuit part for processing a recording signal to the magnetic head or a reproducing signal from the magnetic head, and processing control signals for the rotary driving part of the data recording surface and a magnetic head driving part. In this case, a write inhibition threshold value for inhibiting the writing of data on the data recording surface is set corresponding to the vibration amount of each data recording surface. The reproducing output of the magnetic head facing the data recording surface is set corresponding to the vibration amount of each data recording surface. Also, the track pitch of the data recording surface is set corresponding to the vibration amount of each data recording surface.
