PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet housing device capable of selectively turning a paper sheet housing part around two rotary shafts without requiring the complicated work when changing the rotary shaft. SOLUTION: In the case of normal installation of a paper sheet housing device in a vending machine, a worker turns a paper sheets housing part 6 with a rotary shaft A1 so as to recover the housed bill B, and in the case of the reverse installation thereof, the worker turns the bill housing part 6 with a rotary shaft A2 so as to recover the housed bill B. In any case, the worker can recover the bill B from an upper side of the bill housing part 6, and in comparison with a conventional device having a rotary shaft at a lower side of the bill housing part and a bill delivery port thereof is positioned at a lower side in the case of the reverse installation, fall of the housed bill can be prevented when turning the bill housing part, and the burden of the worker can be reduced.
