SOLUTION: The original image 21, provided with a paper feed section 20 that feeds an original and a contact image sensor 15 that reads image information of the original supplied from the paper feed section 20, is provided with an endless belt 16 that carries the original after the close image sensor 15, and the endless belt 16 is provided with a black reference section 16b and a white reference section 16a, that have a prescribed width and are used for shading correction.
