PURPOSE: A polishing device for an optical connector ferrule is provided to polish a patch cord and an attenuator regardless of a polishing condition by using one chip processor. CONSTITUTION: A controller board(55) includes a timer set section(56), a count display device(57), and a step set portion(58). The step set portion proportional-controls a revolution per minute of a lapping motor(25) and a revolution per minute of a rotating motor(20). An input/output board(51) includes a motor controller(52) and a power section(53). A motor controller(52) proportional-controls starting of the lapping motor(25) and the rotating motor(20) as a slow start. A timer set portion(56) sets a rotating time(polishing time) of a set step. A count display device(57) displays a polished production output of an optical component.
