PACKET TRANSMITTER AND PACKET TRANSMISSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet transmitter that does not reduce header compression efficiency and packet transmission efficiency and decreases a period for data missing at a receiver side. SOLUTION: When an update request signal is outputted from an update request signal reception section 108 to a compression method selection section 201, the compression method selection section 201 selects a header UPDATE- FULLHEADER. However, the compression method selection section 201 does not again select the header UPDATE-FULLHEADER within a time RTT(Round Trip Time) after once selecting the header UPDATE-FULLHEADER. That is, the packet transmitter does not transmits the header UPDATE- FULLHEADER within the time RTT after transmitting once the header UPDATE-FULLHEADER even when receiving the update request signal and selects a signal NON-UPDATE or a signal UPDATE as usual.
