PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC machine in which sparks are suppressed by the improvement of commutation. SOLUTION: A blower motor 1 has magnets 2 and 3, a rotor 4, brushes 5a and 5b, etc. The rotor 4 has a plurality of teeth 8a wound with coils 9a and 9b. The magnets 2 and 3 are provided on an inside surface of a motor housing 7 containing the rotor 4. The magnets 2 and 3 have main poles 2a and 3a and end poles 2b, 2c, 3b and 3c extending from both the ends of the main poles 2a and 3a. The end poles 2b, 2c, 3b and 3c have polarities opposite to the polarities of the main poles 2a and 3a. The tips 8b of the teeth wound with the coils 9a and 9b in commutation states are positioned at the end poles 2b and 3b on the side of a rotating direction in the 1st half of the commutation, and at the end poles 3c and 2c on the opposite side of the rotating direction in the last half of the commutation.
