PURPOSE: A foldable can opener is provided to help the old and the weak to easily and safely open a can, and to prevent the damage of a fingernail. CONSTITUTION: In the foldable can opener using the principle of a lever, the foldable can opener has a lower layer(8) used to compress an opening part(2) of a can, a loop shaped upper layer(9) for applying a lifting force to the opening part so as to make the lower layer compress the opening part, and a foldable portion(10) connecting between the lower layer and the upper layer. Since the lower layer and the upper layer are integrally manufactured, the foldable can opener has a double plate structure by folding and contacting the upper layer and lower layer.
