PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera and a method for imaging a fixed point, in which imaging of a fixed point can be facilitated while enhancing the accuracy significantly. SOLUTION: An image 61 picked up at previous fixed point imaging time is composed to produce a composed image 65 (shown in Fig. 6 (c) by a dashed line) which is then superposed on a through image (finder image) 62 at current fixed point imaging time and they are made to match. Subsequently, fixed point imaging is performed using the previous imaging conditions as the current imaging condition. The composed image is stored in correspondence with the imaging conditions of the original image upon finishing previous imaging and reproduced and displayed at the time of current imaging. Alternatively, an image may be selected among previously picked up images and composed before being superposed on a through image. |
