PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord for portable telephone which enables quick answer to the message arrival of a portable telephone during use of a portable acoustic apparatus with a head phone connected, and also has the same function as an ear phone connected to the head phone. SOLUTION: A cord for a portable telephone connects a head phone to a portable telephone and an acoustic apparatus through a remote controller fitted with an output terminal. The cord has a first connecting terminal (1) to be connected to the head phone, a second connecting terminal (2) to be connected with the remote controller fitted with an output terminal of the portable acoustic apparatus, a third connecting terminal (3) to be connected with the portable telephone, and a microphone (4). It transmits the output signal from the portable telephone and the portable acoustic apparatus to the head phone, and transmits the sound output signal from the microphone to the portable telephone.
