PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address updating system for a WWW server 1 to update a correspondent address on the address list of a WWW browser 7 when there is an address updated page in Web pages provided by the WWW server 1. SOLUTION: In the address updating system for performing address updating between the WWW server 1 and a client computer 2 capable of accessing the WWW server 1 through the Internet 3, when there is a display request from the WWW browser 7 of the client computer 2 to the address updated Web page in at least one provided Web page, the WWW server 1 transmits the display data of the requested Web page, updated address data 4 and an update program 5 to the client computer 2 and while using the update program 5, the client computer 2 rewrites a non-updated address on the address list of the WWW browser 7 to the updated address.
