PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus that can relieve load on a user by a large extent, caused in the case of distribution processing and remote copy, and to provide a control method for the image-forming apparatus, an image-forming system and a storage medium. SOLUTION: A display device of an MFP(multi-function peripheral) 201 displays operating modes of MFPs 202-205 and of their image forming, a desired operating mode is selected from among the displayed operating modes, function information of the MFPs 202-205 is acquired in response to the setting, and an MFP that can form an image according to the desired operating mode is retrieved, on the basis of the acquired function information. The display device updates and displays display contents on the basis of the result of retrieval, each time the desired operating mode is set. Thus, even while confirming the function state of the MFPs, the distribution processing can be set quickly and easily. |
