PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a traffic flow detecting method capable of widely detecting the traffic flow of the road over an area covered by a radio base station of the moving communication system with respect to a method for detecting the traffic flow by utilizing the moving communication system and providing the information. SOLUTION: The moving body communication system includes a mobile station, the radio base station, and at least one traffic flow detecting station connected with the base station by means of a communication path, the mobile station recognizes a self-position, accumulates the positional information every specific time, calculates at least one of a moving speed and an acceleration on the basis of several pieces of accumulated information, the mobile station attribute is determined on the basis of the positional information and the speed or the acceleration, the positional information, the moving speed and the mobile station attribute are transferred to the traffic flow detecting station through the base station, the traffic flow detecting station determines and holds a condition of the traffic flow of the road on the basis of several pieces of positional information, the moving speed and the mobile station attribute from plural mobile stations, and the map information held by a self-station, updates the information on the basis of the latest information, and transfers the information relating to the condition of the traffic flow to the mobile station on the basis of the demand from the mobile station. |
