PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile apparatus, capable of selecting a sound coding method where a consumption current is further reduced. SOLUTION: In this mobile apparatus, voice communication is enabled by selectively using a plurality of sound coding methods different in bit rates. To select a sound coding method where a consumption current is further reduced, a mobile apparatus is used which has a sound coding method requiring means, which requires a sound coding method whose bit rate is lower than the maximum bit rate on a network side and has a sound coding method selection control means which selects a sound-coding method concerning the requirement from the network side as a sound coding method, to be used for voice communication when a command of voice communication, using a sound coding method concerning the requirement from the network side, is sent. |
