FLEXIBLE CARRIER FOR SUPPORTING THE ROOT WELD LAYER

The invention relates to a flexible carrier for supporting the root layer of the welds, especially designed for being employed in welding by automatic welding processes MIG/MAG under flux layer and by the WIG process. The claimed carrier comprises a carbon fibre woven elastic strip (1) having some magnetic elements (2) located on its edges. Said magnetic elements (2) have the function of securing the strip (1) on the surface of some elements to be welded (3), regardless of the type of the joints.
