PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paying method allowing improvement of the efficiency of payment processing of public utility charges or taxes. SOLUTION: This financial institute center 2 receives from a communicating device 1 a payment request including the specification of a payment partner, a customer code, and a confirmation code for every bill. The financial institute center 2 requests a receipt center 5 of the payment partner to inquire the payment request. When an inquiry result received from the receipt center 5 is appropriate, the financial institute center 2 presents payment contents to a payer and receives a payment command. The center transfers a fund equivalent to the payment amount to a particular account from the account of the payer in response to the payment command. The center also transfers the fund equivalent to the payment amount transferred to the particular account to the account of the payment partner at a predetermined timing.
