PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uneven luminance and firefly phenomenon of a surface light source device while securing the center luminance of the surface light source device and reduce the cost by considering the LEDs easy to be reduced among parts constituting the surface light source device. SOLUTION: In this light source device, linear light from plural point light sources disposed on a base plate is caused to enter the side surface of a surface- like light guide member and face-like light is emitted from the principle surface of the surface-like light guide member. In the device, in arranging even number of point light sources on the base plate, when the distance between two point light sources near the center on the base plate is taken as 1, the distance from the point light source of the end part on the base plate to the effective outgoing area of light is set ranging from 0.75 to 1.0355. |
