PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speaker unit constituted by fixing a speaker 3 to a cabinet 1 in which the number of parts of the cabinet 1 is decreased and the fact that it is of sound tube type speaker unit is appealed visually to a purchaser. SOLUTION: In the speaker unit, a spiral partitioning part for forming a sound path internally is provided in the cabinet 1 and a pair of side plates 12 and 12 are fixed to the opposite side faces of a central cabinet member 11. A spiral groove engaging with the end face of the spiral partitioning part is made in the inner surface of each side plate 12 and a spiral groove having a pattern in mirror image relation to the pattern of groove made in the inner surface is made in the outer surface of each side plate 12.
