OPTICAL SUBMARINE REPEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical submarine repeater in which manufacturing cost of components can be reduced and assembling work can be simplified. SOLUTION: Half cylinders 1 and 2 are metal members which are formed to have almost U-shaped sections by the respective bending works and have uniform section thickness of about 3 mm. Flat parts 1a and 1b (2a and 2b) which are parallel with each other are formed in both edges along the longitudinal direction of both of the half cylinders 1 and 2. A part between the flat parts 1a and 1b (2a and 2b) is made a curved part 1c (2c). Both of the half cylinders 1 and 2 are joined by using joining plates 3 and 4 in portions of the flat parts 2a and 2b, and constitute an inner cylinder part 6 surrounding an apparatus part 5.
