PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electrolyte solution from being extruded during calking, by firmly fixing an opening sealing body to an outer package can and by increasing charging capacity through enlargement of an electrode to be put in the outer package can. SOLUTION: The battery is provided with an electrode 1 with a separator 1C arranged between an anode plate 1A and a cathode plate 1B, an outer package can 2 housing the electrode 1, and an opening sealing body 3 occluding the opening of the outer package can 2 airtight through a gasket 4. Here, stopper protrusions 5 are arranged along the outer periphery face of the gasket 4 on the inside face of the outer package can 2, which pinches the gasket together with the outer periphery of the opening sealing body, to occlude the opening of the outer package can 2 airtight.
