PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radial tilt detector which can obtain a highly precise detected value and in which the constitution of a head part is simplified without causing a cost increase. SOLUTION: This radial tilt detector is for the disk information recording and reproducing device which has the following, an optical head which emits a light beam on the recording surface of a rotating disk and receives reflected light reflected by the recording surface of the disk, a focus actuator 9 which adjusts a focus position on which the light beam is condensed, a driving means 10 which outputs a driving signal U for driving the focus actuator. The radial tilt detector is provided with an acceleration detector 11 which receives the driving signal and outputs acceleration in the direction along the optical axis of the light beam of a focus position, and a radial tilt arithmetic processing means 15 which receives the acceleration outputted by the acceleration detector and the distance r between the position where the light beam is emitted on the recording surface of the disk and the center of the disk, and outputs a radial tilt by using the linear velocity or the rotational speed of the disk.
