PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling the receipt of a cellular phone is provided to prevent a state in which a user is not operated through carelessness by automatically converting a state of the cellular phone into a vibration mode and blocking a power. CONSTITUTION: A signal process unit(120) processes an RF(Radio Frequency) received through an antenna(110) and converts the RF signal into an IF(Intermediate Frequency) signal. A modulating and demodulating unit(130) demodulates the IF signal received from the signal process unit(120), or receives a signal received from a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) generator(140) and a codec unit(160) and modulates the received signal. The codec unit(160) codes or decodes a voice signal inputted and outputted between the modulating and demodulating unit(130) and an audio amplifier(170) according to a control of a system control unit(150). The audio amplifier(170) receives a voice signal provided from a microphone(172), amplifies the received voice signal, and outputs the amplified voice signal to the codec unit(160). The system control unit(150) controls all operations. A display unit(182) displays various information according to the control of the system control unit(150). A memory unit(152) stores various information necessary for a cellular phone according to the control of the system control unit(150). An electromagnetic wave blocking receipt unit(190) receives a signal outputted from an electromagnetic wave blocking transmission unit(192) installed at the outside of a system and converts a mode of the cellular phone into a vibration mode or a power blocking mode.
