PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an operation system excellent in safety by realizing a reduction in load of an operator that is a corrector when performing a character recognition by reading a handwritten character entered in a document by an OCR device and displaying the result of the character recognition in a terminal device to correct it. SOLUTION: In this character recognition method, the character recognition is performed by reading, from a document having an entry column for entering a character by a service user and a repeat entry column for repeatedly entering the content of the entry column by a receptionist who received it, the handwritten characters entered in the entry column by the OCR device. When a predetermined specified mark is entered in the repeat entry column, the character in the entry column corresponding to the mark is treated as that it is not entered in the entry column. |
