PURPOSE: Provided is a secondary lithium battery which has high capacity and prevents swelling due to electrolyte to have no leakage of the electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: The battery comprises an electrode assembly containing a cathode, an anode, and a separator between electrodes, electrolyte and a case containing them. The above electrolyte consists of 0.01-10wt.% of polymerization initiator, 10-90wt.% of the organic solvent containing 0.001-10wt.% (based on the total polymer electrolyte) of lithium salt and 5-80wt.% of the polymer made by one of the monomers selected from isocyanate, epoxide, acrylate, ethylene oxide and their pre-polymer, wherein the initiator is one or more compounds selected from benzophenone, benzoyl peroxide, acetyl peroxide, lauryl peroxide dibutyltin acetate and azobisisobutyronitrile. The above polymer electrolyte is obtained by polymerization at 50-200deg.C after it is put into the above case. |
