PURPOSE: A spherical plain bearing and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to easily manufacture a spherical plain bearing by sufficiently covering a ball and to enhance lubricating efficiency and durability. CONSTITUTION: A spherical bearing is formed by movably fitting a ball(200) in a housing(100). Many recesses are formed at a specific interval on the inner face of the housing. When the outer face of the housing is pressurized, an arc-shaped recessed portion of the housing is pressurized. The recessed portion is smoothened, and the ends of inlets of the recesses of the housing are gathered inward. Then, an inverted triangular pocket(110a) is formed. The recesses of the housing sufficiently cover the ball. Since lubricating oil is stored in the recesses, the bearing is lubricated efficiently.
