PURPOSE: A surface aerator using general electricity or solar energy as power source is provided, which is characterized in that the surface aerator provides ripple for maximizing oxygen dissolution rate by using general electricity and solar energy. The surface aerator is applicable to a fish farm, because the surface aerator does not give stress to fish in fish farm. CONSTITUTION: The surface aerator using general electricity comprises: a floating body(11) connected to side walls of a tank(1) by wire(5); a supporting means(3) which is installed at the upper part of the floating body(11) to fix a motor(2) and an impeller(7); a motor(2) which is connected with a cable(4) for supplying electricity to operate the impeller(7); and the impeller(7) for sucking air(12) through a port(6) by rotation of the impeller(7).
