<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluctuating delay suppression control method and system in an asynchronous transfer mode network by which a required time between terminals is suppressed in the order of 10 microseconds in the case of utilizing an ATM network by using a general-purpose device in the ATM network without the need for any special revamping. SOLUTION: Each of the terminals is provided with a cell transmission function 36 that can transmit an ATM cell to monitor the state of the ATM network, a retrieval function 37 that receives the ATM cell, retrieves data transmission timing to bring congestion to a desirably specified value or below when the ATM cell includes congestion information and transmits the timing of the retrieval result, and a timing adjustment function 38 that adjusts the transmission timing of the ATM cell when the received ATM cell includes the timing information and transmits the adjusted transmission timing again.</p> |
