PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission system where a decoding terminal side eliminates the need for preparation of specific data for special reproduction in advance for the purpose of special reproduction and can avoid occurrence of synchronization deviation in transmission data and its accumulation without the need for any special processing for the special reproduction at all, even the decoding terminal whose processing requires entry of data to be processed consecutively at all times can decode the data and the bit rate can be kept constant even during the special reproduction. SOLUTION: A server 10 is provided with: a data conversion section 3 that transmits a plurality of data used by usual reproduction to a decoding terminal 12 when the decoding terminal 12 makes the usual reproduction and applies prescribed conversion processing to data used for special reproduction among a plurality of the data when the decoding terminal 12 makes the special reproduction and transmits the data subjected to the prescribed conversion processing; and a data conversion section 7 that transmits no data that are not used for the special reproduction but transmits dummy data in place of the data that are not used for the special reproduction.
