SOLUTION: The magnetic tape T is made to travel at a tape speed four times as fast as that in standard (STD) mode, and an upper drum 18 is rotated at a rotational frequency twice as fast as that in the standard (STD) mode to parawrite the digital information signal on the magnetic tape T by rotary magnetic head couples (H6A, H6B) and (H6C, H6D) for two channels fitted to the upper drum 18, thereby making fast copies in standard (STD) high-speed copy mode, low-speed (LS) high-speed copy mode, high-speed (HS) high-speed copy mode in short times corresponding to the copy ratios of the respective modes. At this time, a drum tilt angle correction part 8 is placed in operation in the standard (STD) high-speed copy mode and low-speed (LS) high-speed copy mode.</p>
