PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system that can carry out normal operations on an image processor side without hindrance, while reducing the image processing time by a computer side for image data. SOLUTION: When starting the processing of 2nd image data by an image processor 2 is detected, while an image processing circuit 5 of the image processor 2 carries out image processing of 1st image data from a computer 1, until the processing of the 2nd image data is finished, the processing of the 1st image data carried out at present is interrupted, the 1st image data are returned to the computer 1 to carry out the remaining processing by an application program. Thus, a user can carry out the processing of the 2nd image data, such as original image data, without having to wait for the completion of the processing of the image data from the computer 1.
