PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic vending machine capable of reducing dispersion of dropping positions of commodities delivered out of a suspending rack and positively receiving them by a bucket. SOLUTION: This automatic vending machine is provided with the suspending rack 4 having an endless chain 34 swingably holding hooks 38 suspending the commodities, a chain driving mechanism 36 driving the chain 34, and a hook swinging mechanism 40 swinging a random hook 38 held by the chain 34 on the basis of its positional information and attitude information and dropping the suspended commodity. The chain 34 is provided with hook parts 52c suspending the commodity. The hooks 38 are provided with hook part insertion holes 38c for inserting through the hook parts 52c. The commodity is suspended from hook parts 52c protruding from the hook part insertion holes 38c when the hooks are not swung, and the commodity is dropped by withdrawing the hook parts 52c from the hook part insertion holes 38c when the hooks are swung.
